Abstract

Aging presents a fundamental challenge to global healthcare systems, necessitating the development of effective strategies to address the needs of this age group. As the number of elderly individuals increases, there is an urgent need to enhance their quality of life and provide necessary support across various aspects of their daily lives. In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics have emerged as innovative and promising solutions to address some of these challenges, contributing to increased independence and a comprehensive improvement in the quality of life for older adults.

This discussion addresses the challenges related to the health-related quality of life facing the elderly, including social isolation, limited mobility, and growing medical needs. It also highlights the role of AI applications and robotics in elder care, such as health monitoring systems that enable remote tracking of health status and robots that assist in daily activities and foster social interaction.

By using AI-integrated technology, the burden on healthcare providers can be alleviated, the quality of life for seniors can be improved, and their sense of independence and psychological comfort can be enhanced. Employing these solutions in healthcare systems represents a strategic step towards a better future for the elderly, helping to create a comprehensive and effective care environment.

يشكل التقدم في السن أو الشيخوخة تحديا جوهريا أمام أنظمة الرعاية الصحية العالمية، مما يستدعي تطوير استراتيجيات فعالة للتعامل مع احتياجات هذه الفئة العمرية. ومع تزايد عدد المسنين، تبرز الحاجة الملحة لتعزيز جودة حياتهم وتوفير الدعم اللازم في مختلف جوانبها اليومية. في السنوات الأخيرة، برزت تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي والروبوتات كحلول مبتكرة وواعدة لمواجهة بعض هذه التحديات، حيث تساهم في تعزيز الاستقلالية وتحسين نوعية حياة المسنين بشكل شامل.
نناقش في هذه المداخلة؛ التحديات المتعلقة بجودة الحياة الصحية التي تواجه كبار السن، بما في ذلك العزلة الاجتماعية، ضعف الحركة، والاحتياجات الطبية المتزايدة. كما تسلط الضوء على دور تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي والروبوتات في رعاية المسنين، مثل أنظمة المراقبة الصحية التي تمكن من تتبع الحالة الصحية عن بُعد، والروبوتات التي تقدم المساعدة في الأنشطة اليومية وتعزيز التفاعل الاجتماعي.
